Laura Leeson
Director of Evaluation and Strategic Development
Antsirabe
Laura is Director of M&E and Strategic Development at Projet Jeune Leader. Since she joined the organization in 2017, Laura has been innovating across our programs. She designed our rigorous M&E systems, looking beyond basic standards to instead create innovative constituent accountability strategies and mechanisms for collecting feedback from our Educators and partner communities. Through these efforts, we have increased our impact while identifying efficiencies in our model – improvements foundational to our expansion to rural, hard-to-reach communities. Under her leadership, our programs and M&E teams have built trusting relationships not only with the students we serve, but also with their parents, teachers, health care providers, and others. Laura has also strengthened our external communications, sharing learnings from Projet Jeune Leader through resource guides, in articles, and at national and international events. As a member of our senior leadership team, Laura works closely with our Executive Director on resource mobilization, donor relations, and strategic development.
Laura received a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Masters in Public Health from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. She was a Community Health Educator with the Peace Corps from 2013-2016 in Madagascar, during which she was first introduced to Projet Jeune Leader. Laura is fluent in English and Malagasy.
Projet Jeune Leader strives for innovation – but innovation with purpose and accountability. This rigor makes me proud to work for Projet Jeune Leader. We never lose sight of our core values; our growth has never come at the expense of quality or integrity.
